Filtronic bolsters order book with £400,000 deal
A technology firm has bolstered its order book with a £400,000 deal.
Filtronic is working with a European defence sector operator.
Bosses say the agreement covers the design and supply of a “new wide-bandwidth solution”, which will be made at Filtronic’s base at NETPark, in Sedgefield, County Durham.
They add the deal – which builds on a relationship with an existing unnamed customer – will be delivered in the 2027 financial year.
Nat Edington, chief executive, said: “This latest award demonstrates continued confidence in our technology and ability to deliver high-quality programmes.
“We are increasingly well positioned to address long-term demand for complex, high-performance wideband solutions, reinforcing our position in the expanding defence sector.”
The deal comes just days after Filtronic revealed a fresh £6 million contract to supply parts to an unnamed US customer, which it said will “expand its offering in satellite communications”.
