My Delhi serves up Leeds expansion
An award-winning Indian street food restaurant chain is expanding into Yorkshire with a new city centre opening as part of its continued growth.
My Delhi, which is co-owned and founded by Elahi Shah Amin, Shah Amin, Gaurav Goyal, Neha Goyal and executive chef Gaurav Dayal, is set to open its first Leeds site at Hepper House on East Parade, marking its debut in the region and its largest restaurant to date.
The 6000sq ft Grade II-listed building will be transformed into a flagship venue, featuring a main dining space, private dining room and cocktail bar.
Already established in Newcastle, Sunderland and Leicester, the brand has built a strong following for its take on Delhi-inspired cuisine, blending traditional flavours with a contemporary dining experience.
The Leeds menu will showcase a range of dishes reflecting the capital’s diverse food culture, from tandoor-cooked breads and kebabs to Indo-Chinese favourites and slow-cooked curries.
Elahi said: “Leeds felt like the right next step for us.
“We’ve always focused on doing things properly, and this gives us the space to take that further.
“The food remains the same at its core, but the overall experience has been taken up a level.
“It’s a more complete version of what we’ve been building.”
Gaurav added: “Our cooking has always come from Delhi.
“That hasn’t changed.
“What Leeds allows us to do is present it in a more complete way, while keeping the character of the dishes intact.”
Bookings will open ahead of the planned June 2026 launch.
