West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce names new chair
West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce has appointed Victoria Wainwright as its new chair.
Victoria, a former president of Bradford Chamber of Commerce, succeeds Amanda Beresford, who steps down after nine years on the board, including five as chair.
Her appointment marks a new chapter for the organisation as it continues to support businesses across the region.
Victoria said: “It is a great honour to take on the role of chair of the Chamber’s board.
“I look forward hugely to serving the Chamber’s members in my new capacity.
“In particular I pay tribute to Amanda who has been a first-class servant of Yorkshire’s business community.”
Amanda added: “I look back on my time with the Chamber with great fondness.
“The Chamber is growing and perusing exciting avenues and opportunities.
“I want to thank all of our members for their support during my time here.
“I am very proud to be handing over to Victoria Wainwright who will doubtless prove a tremendous success in her new role.”
James Mason, chief executive of West & North Yorkshire Chamber, added: “Amanda has been a tireless advocate and champion of the Chamber’s members and she steps down with our eternal gratitude and thanks for her efforts.
“Victoria will unquestionably be a superb new chair for the Chamber as we continue to grow our membership and champion the region’s business community.”
