Greencore Homes appoints chair
Sustainable housebuilder Greencore Homes, based in Bicester, has appointed Helen Moore as board chair as it continues to scale its ambitions.
Helen brings more than 35 years’ experience in the housebuilding sector, having held senior roles at Countryside and Crest Nicholson, and led growth at City & Country and Orbit Homes.
She currently advises boards and investors on strategy and governance and holds a number of non-executive roles across the industry.
In her new position, Helen will support Greencore Homes’ long-term growth plans, including its ambition to deliver 10,000 low-carbon homes by 2035.
She said: “Greencore Homes has established itself as a leader in Better Than Net Zero homes, helping to address some of the biggest challenges facing the housing sector.
“It is an exciting time to join the business as chair, with ambitious plans for growth, a clear mission to create both sustainable and healthier homes and a leadership team and investors who are passionate about that vision.
“I look forward to working with the board and the wider team to support the company’s next phase of growth.”
Jon Di-Stefano, chief executive of Greencore Homes, added: “Helen brings exceptional experience across the housebuilding industry, with deep expertise in governance, strategy and performance.
“Her insight will be invaluable as we build on our momentum and continue to grow.
“Our goal remains clear; to show that housebuilding can, and should, deliver more for people, communities and the planet.
“I would also like to thank Martin Pike for his leadership during a period of significant growth and change for the business.
“Throughout that time, he has been a passionate supporter of Greencore Homes and a valued mentor to the team.”
