Care provider extends reach into Hull
A Yorkshire care provider is expanding its services to meet growing demand for specialist supported living.
Happy Futures, based in Scarborough, is extending its offer into Hull with the development of new accommodation, including a bungalow and a four-bedroom supported living apartment.
The multi award-winning company has been operating since 2011 and is known for its Treetops complex, which has been rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
The new Hull provision aims to replicate this high standard of care, offering tailored support in a purpose-designed environment.
Registered manager Emily O’Callaghan said: “We have been looking to develop Happy Futures due to the sheer demand for our outstanding care, so it has felt like a natural progression to expand along the coast to Hull.
“The new development Blossom Corner is named after blossom, which symbolises growth, renewal, and new beginnings.
“Blossom represents the potential for positive change and the beauty of progress over time - reflecting the supportive and encouraging environment we strive to create.
“Blossom Corner is a place where adults with learning disabilities are supported to feel safe, valued, and truly at home, while being encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and life skills at their own pace.
“The name reflects our commitment to nurturing each person’s strengths, supporting personal growth, and helping individuals build happy futures.”
An open day held earlier this month gave families and local authority representatives the opportunity to view the refurbished apartment building and learn more about the service.
Chief executive Angela Fletcher added: “We are really excited about this development and whilst we do want to grow, it is important that we maintain the same level of care and also that we have time to ensure the properties are adapted to be bespoke for each person living in them.
“We fully understand each individual we care for has very different needs, and we prioritise these to ensure the living areas are all adapted accordingly.”
