Distribution firm Maersk drops anchor at new base
A shipping and distribution firm has added to operations with a warehouse move.
Maersk is set to move into a 411,470sq ft hub at Gateway 4, on the outskirts of Doncaster.
Officials say the hub will “further enhance” Danish-headquartered Maersk’s “UK logistics and distribution capabilities”.
They add the deal for the site – based close to the M18 – was completed in seven days, with landlord CBRE Investment Management supported by real estate advisory firm CBRE.
Rosie Hulbert, CBRE Investment Management’s UK industrial and logistics director, said: “This deal underscores our operator capabilities, and is a direct result of the close relationships we have with the occupiers across our portfolio.”
Mike Baugh, CBRE Leeds office head, added: “Completing a transaction of this scale within seven working days is a remarkable achievement.
“This letting highlights the continued demand from occupiers for high‑specification, fitted logistics space.”
