Event promises 'rocket fuel' for founders' growth aims
A North East business event is set to take place promising to provide “rocket fuel” for founders’ growth ambitions.
The PLATFORM Conference will take place in Newcastle on April 28.
The event will feature speakers including Lee Hartley, founder of Sunderland-headquartered national wealth manager Fairstone and co-founder of Castrius Capital Partners.
It will also include scale-up coach Ian Kinnery and angel investor Neil Stephenson, while Kat Bond, head of partner success at Xero, will share secrets about artificial intelligence-powered accounting software.
Dr Marc Owens – an expert in team dynamics – will deliver a talk on the science of teamwork, with further sessions set to cover leadership, technology, finance and operational scaling.
The event has been organised by Paul Lancaster, co-founder of Stellar Business Events.
He said: “Delegates will have access to some of the best business minds in the region, who have an incredible track record when it comes to scaling a company.”
The conference will run from 9am until 5pm at The Catalyst, on the Newcastle Helix complex, and is sponsored by HR2day, Kinnery, Mira Marketing, NEL Fund Managers, Nouveau Legal, Optimal Accountancy, Precursor Security, Wubbleyou and Xero.
James Katirai, head of investments at Team Valley and Stockton-based NEL Fund Managers, said: “Supporting the conference is a fantastic opportunity for founders, investors and advisers who are driving growth and innovation to make meaningful connections.”
The conference builds on half-day PLATFORM events, which have taken place in Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Edinburgh since early 2024.
