Plastics firm 'moulds future growth' with investment
A plastic mouldings firm says it is set to shape fresh success with a new base and machinery investment.
MGS Technical Plastics is switching to a 3600sq ft unit at Blackburn’s Centurion Business Park.
The company has also spent more than £200,000 to bolster its lines with four computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
Bosses say the moves – which follow a management buyout in January – strengthen a blueprint to become a £15 million plastic injection moulding business.
Judson Smythe, managing director, said: “With this foundation in place, our next phase of investment is centred on strengthening our toolroom as a true support system for our moulding operations and for customers’ long‑term tooling needs.
“Our goal is to ensure we can maintain customer moulds properly, turn around modifications quickly and offer cost‑effective prototype and low‑volume tooling.”
