Removals firm loads up on award nods
A Northumberland removals and logistics firm has gained national recognition following a period of rapid expansion.
Your Man With A Van, founded by Dan and Cat Robson-Scarborough, has been named in the Elite Franchise Top 100 for 2026, while also securing a place among the UK’s Top 10 Emerging Franchises.
The removals and logistics network has expanded from zero to 65 branches in just two and a half years, operating nationwide from bases spanning Belfast to Devon.
Its recognition reflects a franchisee-first model that removes traditional commission structures and focuses on supporting branch owners to drive growth.
Cat said: “Northumberland is home for us now and we’re incredibly proud to be building something of national significance from here.
“Dan and I have grown this together from the ground up, and this recognition belongs to every franchisee, every customer and everyone who has been part of the journey.
“The North East is a brilliant place to build a business from – and we wouldn't have it any other way.
“To achieve both recognitions in the same year is something we’re incredibly proud of.
“The Top 100 tells you that the business is built properly.
“The Top 10 Emerging tells you that the best is still to come.
“Both feel true.”
Cat added: “We moved to Northumberland just over a year ago and it has already felt like the right decision in every way.
“There is a real energy in the North East business community and we are proud to be part of it.”
In a further milestone, Cat has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Woman Who Awards 2026, recognising her leadership and impact in the logistics sector.
The nomination comes as she prepares to speak at the North East Business Fest, sharing insights on scaling a national business from the region.
Cat added: “Being shortlisted for the Woman Who Awards is something I’m genuinely proud of – not just for me personally, but because of what it represents.
“You can build something significant, from Northumberland, in an industry not known for female leadership, and be recognised for it.
“Dan and I have built this together and this recognition belongs to everyone who has been part of the journey.
“I’m also really looking forward to speaking at the North East Business Fest in May.
“The North East business community has been incredibly welcoming since we moved here and I can’t wait to share our story with the room.”
