Plans unveiled for 480-home Amble scheme
A Northumberland coastal town is set to benefit from a new housing scheme aimed at meeting rising demand.
Tantallon Homes is progressing plans for Tantallon Parks in Amble, a 480-home scheme designed to meet rising demand for quality housing in the area.
The Cramlington-based, family-run developer will deliver a mix of properties ranging from one-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom homes, following a series of sold-out developments across the region.
Located on the southern edge of the town, the site offers access to nearby schools and strong transport links to surrounding areas including Alnwick, Morpeth and Warkworth.
The development will feature around 14 acres of green space, including woodland, walking routes and a play park, alongside coastal-inspired designs and modern living spaces.
As part of the scheme, 15 per cent of homes will be designated as affordable, contributing to wider community and economic growth.
Craig McClen, director at Tantallon Homes, said: “This isn’t just another new build development. It is for local people, by local people.
“We know the region and we’re invested in its success.
“We want to create more opportunities for people like us to keep building their lives here, living in quality homes that are aspirational but affordable, integrated within existing communities.
“Young families want to stay close to where they grew up. Local workers want to live near their jobs.
“Older residents are looking to downsize without leaving their communities.
“But too often, the right homes simply aren’t available, and this can’t go on.
“However, this isn’t just about building houses.
“For us, it’s always about building communities.
“When we get that right – quality homes, thoughtful design, shaping developments around local needs and genuine community focus, everybody benefits.
“This development is an exciting opportunity to be part of Amble’s next chapter as a thriving place to live.”
