HSBC funding to drive recycling firm's growth
An East Yorkshire recycling and agricultural services business is set to expand nationwide following a funding boost.
Robinson Contract Services, based in Beverley, has secured a seven-figure package from HSBC UK to support its growth plans across recycling, fertilisers and soil conditioning.
The family-run firm, which specialises in biosolids recycling and sustainable land management, say they will use the funding to invest in new machinery to increase its capacity to treat materials and supply products to a wider customer base.
As part of the expansion, the company will also grow its fleet, adding four new Renault eight-wheelers to meet rising demand.
The investment safeguards around 100 jobs and is expected to drive a 15 per cent increase in turnover in 2026.
Emma Marsland, director at Robinson Contract Services, said: “Biosolids recycling is more than waste management to us, it’s about creating value for the agricultural industry, surrounding communities and the environment.
“This is an exciting step forward for the business, with HSBC UK funding playing a pivotal role in helping us to build a positive future.”
Ben Carver, relationship manager at HSBC UK, added: “Robinson Contract Services is in an exciting stage of growth which is why it’s fantastic to support this investment into enhanced capabilities.
“The business has a proven track record of providing high quality services across the industries it serves and a clear strategy to expand.
“We’re confident the team at Robinson will successfully deliver on this strategy to achieve future growth.”
Founded in 1942, Robinson Contract Services provides a range of services including haulage, compliance, soil sampling and spreading, supporting the agricultural sector across the country.
The deal was supported by Craig Ingram, director at Three Crowns Finance, and James Foxton, director at Wynthorpe Holdings.
