Muse appoints regional managing director
Nationwide placemaking firm Muse has appointed Simon Dew as managing director for Yorkshire and the North East.
Simon has been with the business for more than 15 years, progressing from development director to director of development management.
He brings 30 years of experience in property acquisition and regeneration, having played a key role in delivering major projects across the North.
In his new role, he will lead the regional team and oversee a growing pipeline of schemes, including developments in Gateshead, Durham, Bradford, Hull, and Wakefield.
Simon said: “I’m incredibly proud to lead such a dedicated and talented team.
“The Yorkshire and North East region is full of character and opportunity, encompassing major towns and cities with evolving neighbourhoods and exciting waterfront locations, where people want to work, live and spend leisure time.
“I’m looking forward to working with both existing and new partners to help shape places that will genuinely improve people’s lives.”
Simon’s appointment follows a period of significant growth for the business and reflects Muse’s continued focus on delivering long-term regeneration and strengthening partnerships across the region.
Phil Mayall, managing director of Muse, added: “Simon embodies what Muse is about.
“He is always thinking long‑term and putting people at the heart of projects.
“His experience, his energy and his genuine commitment to the communities we work alongside make him an exceptional leader for Yorkshire and the North East.
“We’re delighted to have him step into this role at such an exciting time for the region.”
