Newett expands footprint with 74-home scheme
A Yorkshire housebuilder is expanding its footprint with a new development outside its traditional heartland.
Newett Homes has acquired a seven-acre site in Kirton in Lindsey, North Lincolnshire, paving the way for a £20 million scheme marking its first project beyond Yorkshire.
The Wetherby-based developer will deliver 74 homes at The Paddocks, a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties designed to appeal to a range of buyers.
The site was secured from Strategic Land Group and already has detailed planning consent.
Plans also include 14 affordable homes in partnership with Vico Homes, alongside green open space and a park to complement the village setting.
Sustainability is a key focus, with all homes set to feature solar panels, electric vehicle charging points and target an EPC A rating.
As part of the development, Newett Homes will contribute £100,000 towards local community improvements, including leisure facilities and transport.
Will Newett, founder and chief executive of Newett Homes, said: “We are very pleased to have secured this site in Kirton in Lindsey, which represents our first development outside of Yorkshire and a significant milestone in the growth of the business.
“This development presents an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient homes in a much sought-after rural location and reflects our commitment to creating sustainable communities while enhancing the surrounding area through considered design and investment.”
Groundworks are underway, with first completions expected in December 2026.
