Leeds Wellbeing Week returns for 2026
A city-wide wellbeing festival is set to return in Leeds, bringing together communities, businesses and organisations for a week of health-focused events and activities.
Leeds Wellbeing Week will take place from 1 to 7 June, marking its seventh year and its first under the stewardship of HelloHope.
The Leeds-based mental health and suicide prevention community interest company has taken on the initiative to expand its reach and build on its established reputation.
Originally founded in 2017 by Lucile Allen-Paisant, the event has grown into a key date in the city’s calendar.
This year’s programme will feature dozens of activities across Leeds, including workshops, talks and practical sessions covering topics such as mental health, burnout, neurodiversity and workplace wellbeing.
Headline sponsor EGYM Hussle will support the week, alongside partners including Leeds City Council (Active Leeds), the University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University, Touchstone, Step Into Sophrology, Hypnotherapy Lounge Leeds and Sage Ayurvedic.
Sage Ayurvedic will also sponsor the weekend, hosting a retreat on June 6 and a wellbeing festival on June 7.
Events will take place across venue partners including the Royal Armouries, Department, The Attic and New Craven Hall, with additional venues invited to participate, while a flagship event for HR and people leaders will be held at Department at Leeds Dock as part of the wider programme.
Additional events will include yoga sessions, meditation, sound baths and community-led discussions, hosted at venues across the city such as the Royal Armouries and New Craven Hall.
Leeds Wellbeing Week aims to highlight the city’s growing wellbeing offer while making support more accessible, with organisers encouraging businesses, venues and residents to get involved in what is expected to be the largest programme to date.
Ellie MacDonald, founder and chief executive of HelloHope, said: “Leeds Wellbeing Week is all about showcasing Leeds as a vibrant city which cares about its people – residents, businesses and students.
“There’ll be something for everyone, from practical workshops to a variety of topics discussed at talks, providing a taster of different wellbeing activities for people to try what works best for them and their workplaces.
“We’re honoured to be leading Leeds Wellbeing Week for the first time and to build on the brilliant vision that Lucile created.”
Matthew Williamson, regional sales manager of EGYM Hussle, added: “I’m really proud to support Leeds Wellbeing Week and see so many organisations across the city coming together to prioritise health and wellbeing.
“At Hussle, making wellbeing more accessible is at the heart of what we do, so it’s fantastic to be part of an initiative that encourages people to take time for their physical and mental health.”
