FOLK2FOLK appoints capital head

Cornwall-based lending platform FOLK2FOLK has appointed Joanna Chan as head of strategic capital to strengthen its institutional funding strategy.

Joanna steps into the newly created role after previously serving as head of portfolio, where she oversaw the SME loan book and led post-completion and recoveries teams. 

She has been with the business since 2019 and brings experience from BNP Paribas in London and Hong Kong, where she specialised in credit strategy and trading across sovereign, corporate and high-yield markets, working closely with institutional investors and global trading teams.

In her new role, she will lead institutional funding relationships and commercial partnerships to support lending growth.

Joanna said: “FOLK2FOLK has delivered over a decade of disciplined, property secured lending and proven investor outcomes.

“My focus is to develop partnerships with institutional funders and likeminded originators to help scale that success, while preserving the clarity and human approach that underpins how we work.”

Joanna’s appointment reflects FOLK2FOLK’s continued evolution as it diversifies its funding base and expands engagement with capital providers.
