Magnetic returns to independent ownership
A London-based innovation and design company is entering a new phase after completing a management buy-out to regain independent ownership.
Magnetic has returned to independence following the deal, with the move designed to give the business greater freedom and focus as it continues to support clients through complex challenges.
The company, which is B Corp-certified, works with major brands including Mars Wrigley, PepsiCo, Bupa, HSBC, Legal & General, Kingfisher Group, Innovate UK, the National Physical Laboratory and Google.
The buy-out sees chief executive Jenny Burns continue to lead the business, joined by managing director Jason DaPonte, impact director Conor McNicholas and marketing director Amelia Shepherd.
Together, the leadership team brings a mix of long-standing experience within the company and broader expertise across innovation, brand and commercial growth.
The move is intended to enable the company to operate with increased agility, maintaining its hands-on approach to experimentation and design-led problem solving.
Jenny says the buy-out marks the beginning of its next chapter, building on recent momentum as it continues to help organisations navigate change and drive innovation.
She said: “Magnetic has never tried to be a traditional consultancy.
“We’ve always believed the best work happens close to the problem.
“Independence gives us the clarity and pace to operate that way – experienced people bringing energy to complex challenges, helping organisations get unstuck and building a consultancy that’s human, collaborative and focused on positive impact.”
