Bus route honours Hull KR's Grand Final win
A transport operator has introduced a revamped matchday bus service to celebrate one of the greatest days in the history of Hull KR.
Stagecoach has renamed its existing 13C service to Service 246 in honour of Hull KR’s 24-6 Super League Grand Final win over Wigan Warriors.
The updated route will continue to serve Sewell Group Craven Park on matchdays, offering supporters a dedicated and convenient way to travel to games.
Timetables have been revised to better align with kick-off times, with additional journeys added to increase capacity and flexibility for passengers.
Single fares remain capped at £3, providing an affordable option for fans heading to the stadium.
Service 246 operates alongside other routes, including the Service 13, with journey planning and ticket purchases available through the Stagecoach app.
The move combines practical improvements with a nod to club history, marking a memorable moment for Hull KR and the wider city.

Matt Cranwell, managing director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “The triumph in the Grand Final capped what was a unique season for Hull KR – and one of the most notable in the history of rugby league.
“Many of our team are huge fans of the sport, so we wanted to do something to mark this incredible day.
“Now, we hope that local fans will want to get the bus to the game – without the stress and worry of driving to the stadium and trying to find a parking spot.”
Chris Jackson, executive director for regeneration and partnerships at Hull City Council, added: “As a council, we welcome this new commercial service from Stagecoach East Midlands.
“Not only will it provide fans with even more choice in terms of how they get to and from games, but it also supports more sustainable and active travel and helps achieve the city’s aim to be carbon neutral by 2030.
“It also helps in terms of network management and reduces parking pressures around the stadium – which the club and the council’s neighbourhood team have been working collaboratively to address.”
Phil Stow, operations manager for Hull KR, added: “The club has seen tremendous growth over the last few years, and with that comes new, healthy problems which we have to tackle.
“One of those problems has been ensuring that our loyal supporters have a reliable and sustainable way to travel to and from Sewell Group Craven Park to watch the World Champions.
“Adding the 246 service will give our fans an affordable way to travel and will help relieve stresses surrounding parking around the stadium.
“The club would like to thank Hull City Council and Stagecoach for the addition of this service.”
