Housebuilder plans 14-home village development
A family-run housebuilder has submitted plans for a 14-property scheme.
Forric Homes hopes to create an estate in Rowlands Gill, near Gateshead.
Officials say the venture would include three, four and five-bed detached homes, including three affordable properties.
They add construction could start later this year.
Tom Forster, Forric Homes’ managing director, said: “As a local family business, with a workforce drawn from the surrounding area, this project is particularly meaningful to us.
“It’s a community we know well and care deeply about, and we’re excited – subject to approval – to bring the development to life.”
Forric Homes was supported on the blueprint by Hedley Planning.
Joe Ridgeon, director at the Hexham and Newcastle-based firm, added: “The plans reflect a development that meets community needs, with a mix of property types and sizes to provide options for residents at varying stages of the property ladder.”
