Print company presses ahead with acquisition
A printing firm has designs on success after completing an acquisition.
Northern Print Solutions Group has bought Design Xpress.
Bosses say the move marks the “natural next step” in the Gateshead company’s growth strategy.
They add the deal for Consett-based Design Xpress has “significantly” expanded production capacity, with the combined business boasting turnover of more than £3 million and a 24-strong workforce.
Both businesses will continue operating from their existing sites.
Northern Print Solutions is known for small-format print, packaging, direct mail, fulfilment and campaign delivery, with Design Xpress delivering large-format graphics, signage and displays to the retail, hospitality, manufacturing and corporate sectors.
Craig Daly, Northern Print Solutions Group managing director, said: “We’ve known the Design Xpress team for a long time, and have always had a huge amount of respect for the quality of their work.
“This move is about bringing two strong businesses together, adding structure and support behind the scenes, and creating more opportunity for teams and customers going forward.”
Jules Brown, Design Xpress director, added: “This gives us the opportunity to expand what we offer while continuing to deliver the same level of service with the same team our customers trust.”
