Ignite Padel serves up Liverpool site
A Liverpool-based sports operator is serving up expansion plans with a new venue to meet growing demand for one of the UK’s fastest-rising sports.
Ignite Padel is set to open a new centre in Hunts Cross this July, marking its fourth site in the North West.
The 34,000sq ft facility will feature 11 indoor courts, adding to the company’s growing network across the region.
Stephen Broad, partner at Ignite Padel, said: “We have imported all the courts from Spain and they are championship standard quality and LTA approved, meaning they meet the standards set by the Lawn Tennis Association.”
Founded in Liverpool, Ignite Padel launched its first site in April 2025, followed by additional venues in Cheshire Oaks and Speke later that year.
The business is targeting five sites across the North West by the end of 2026.
The Hunts Cross location will also include a licensed bar, coffee shop and retail store, offering equipment and apparel for players.
Coaching will be available for all levels, from beginners to experienced players.
Chris Watson, partner at Ignite Padel, added: “We are excited to announce our fourth padel site in the region.
“The game is going from strength to strength and it is great to see players of all ages and levels taking up the sport.
“We will also soon be announcing details of our fifth site as we get nearer to completion on the site.”
