Lighting firm 'switched on for growth' after deal
A lighting firm says it is plugged in for expansion following a takeover.
LED & Power has been bought by private investor Emre Yilmaz.
Founders Ian Austick and Sam Garbutt say the deal will “protect the values of the company and support its next phase of growth”.
They add the undisclosed agreement will see the firm continue operating under its existing brand.
Based on Mandale Business Park, in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, LED & Power provides commercial, sports, retail, industrial and emergency lighting.
Emre – who previously bought Darlington-headquartered Harvey Electrical Services – said: “Good businesses with strong fundamentals, loyal teams and a solid reputation will always attract interest.
“My strategy is to grow businesses with their existing employees, build on the strong foundations in place and continue the legacy created by the owner.”
Ian added: “Emre’s vision for the business was clear from the outset – to build on what we’ve created, protect the values of the company and support its next phase of growth.”
