Tech firm lands £410,000 fire protection contract
A technology firm has secured a £410,000 deal.
Light Science Technologies Holdings is set to supply a fire-resistant graphite barrier system to a building contractor.
Officials say the apparatus – known as Injectaclad – will be used on a five-storey residential block in East Yorkshire.
Work is primed to start this month, with the project set to take 19 weeks.
The supply deal comes after Derbyshire-headquartered Light Science Technologies Holdings bought RLUK Injection earlier this year.
Simon Deacon, chief executive of Ednaston-based Light Science Technologies Holdings, said: “We are delighted with the order, which highlights the significant opportunity to position ourselves as an Injectaclad installer and supplier.
“Our passive fire protection division is gaining increased visibility, and is well placed to secure a growing number of projects.
“With 11 installers in the network, the Injectaclad acquisition provides access to a broad and growing pipeline of potential projects.”
