Weetabix 'fuelled for growth' with XPO deal
A breakfast cereal maker says it is fuelled for future success after extending a warehousing partnership.
Weetabix has renewed a deal with XPO Logistics.
Officials say the move – which covers distribution sites in Burton Latimer, near Kettering, and Corby, in Northamptonshire, will build on work that has improved service and site safety.
Richard Spaughton, Weetabix head of supply chain, said: “XPO Logistics has more than proved its expertise in all areas of our warehousing, and we are thrilled to be extending our partnership.
“Its sustainable approach and proprietary technology have already streamlined our warehousing operations, and we are looking forward to continuing to augment our processes even further.”
Dan Myers, senior vice president, supply chain – Europe, at XPO Logistics, which also manages global movement of Weetabix goods through Heathrow Airport, added: “This has been a true partnership from day one.
“We improved service by more than nine per cent and achieved more than 1000 days without a lost time incident.
“This is just the start of what we can achieve together.”
