ELA Container expands manufacturing base
An East Yorkshire modular buildings manufacturer has expanded its operations after more than doubling its production space to support continued business growth.
ELA Container UK has relocated to a new 40,000sq ft warehouse and office complex on Gateway Business Park in Gilberdyke, moving from its previous 17,000sq ft facility nearby.
The new site, owned by the Rix Group, includes a 37,000sq ft manufacturing space, offices, additional buildings and three acres of external storage land.
The move follows sustained organic growth for the business, which supplies modular and mobile room solutions to sectors including construction, education, childcare, retail and logistics.
Bosses say the expansion will allow it to increase production capacity as demand for off-site construction solutions continues to rise.
Lucas Powell, group property surveyor at the Rix Group, said: “ELA Container UK has been located on Gateway Business Park for a number of years, and we are delighted to have been part of their growth story.
“The fact that the business has opted to stay on the park is testament to the quality of properties we provide, both here and across our other business parks.
“This is a fantastic deal; we are very pleased to retain ELA Container UK at Gateway Business Park, and we wish them every continued success in their new home.”
