Repair firm achieves ISO milestone
A North East industrial electronics repair company has strengthened its credentials after achieving dual internationally recognised certifications.
Newcastle-based Northern Power Electronics has secured UKAS accredited ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification following a nine-month assessment process.
Operating from Newcastle Enterprise Centres, the company provides component-level repairs for manufacturers, marine operators and offshore facilities across the UK and overseas, offering emergency turnaround times of between one and three working days.
Bosses at the firm, which repairs industrial electronic equipment including PCBs, drives, control panels and obsolete systems, said the achievement reflects growing demand from clients for higher standards and compliance across supply chains.
They add the new accreditations are expected to support further growth by helping clients meet their own quality and environmental standards when selecting repair partners.
Hossein Abbasifar, managing director of Northern Power Electronics, said: “This is a big moment for us.
“It is not just a certificate on the wall.
“It is another step in our growth.
“The clients who come to us now know exactly what they are getting.”
Northern Power Electronics worked with Anne Olley at consultancy Guthrie & Craig throughout the certification process, documenting internal systems, quality procedures and environmental management practices.
The certifications were awarded by Atlas Certification under UKAS accreditation in April 2026.
Hossein added: “Anne guided us through the entire process and made something that felt overwhelming into something we could actually achieve.
“We would not have got there without that support.”
