Falcon Fox delivers on local recruitment pledge

Falcon Fox Construction has highlighted its commitment to employing local people following its appointment on two major Sunderland developments.

David Reagan, from Seaham, is site manager on the Nile + Villiers project, a residential-led scheme within Sunderland City Council’s Sunniside Place Strategy that will deliver 75 homes and commercial space in the city centre.

David said: “Having worked in the construction sector for many years, Falcon Fox appealed to me because it is ambitious, offers good career progression routes and cares about its team.

“Being from Sunderland and working on a project that will leave its mark on Wearside and

the people of my home city, will definitely stand out as a top moment within my career.”

Meanwhile, Grangetown’s Robyn Wright is working as site coordinator across both Nile + Villiers and the Vaux Housing scheme at Riverside Sunderland, where Falcon Fox has been appointed in a construction management role for phase two.

The projects form part of wider regeneration plans for Sunderland city centre, with Vaux Housing set to deliver 93 sustainable homes overlooking the River Wear.

Falcon Fox director Ritchie Wharton added: “Robyn and David are great additions to the team, both live in the local area and have real pride working on projects that contribute to the regeneration of Sunderland city centre.”
