Knight Frank expands building consultancy team
Knight Frank has strengthened its Newcastle building consultancy team with the appointment of Gavin Walker as senior surveyor.
Gavin brings ten years’ experience and joins the firm from Silverstone Building Consultancy, having also held roles at Lambert Smith Hampton and Hollis.
In his new role, he will manage construction projects and carry out building and dilapidation surveys for commercial property clients.
Gavin said: “I was attracted to the role because Knight Frank has an excellent reputation, a great team, and it was an opportunity to do the work I enjoy the most - rooted in the commercial sector.”
Gavin’s appointment comes as Knight Frank responds to growing demand for its building consultancy services and continues recruitment across the team.
Ian Tew, office head and building consultancy lead at Knight Frank, added: “Building consultancy is a key growth area for Knight Frank.
“We are extremely busy working on some major projects for international clients with property assets in the North East.
“Gavin’s a great addition to the team and we’re actively recruiting for more building surveyors.”
