Go2 steers towards global success
A Northumberland transport provider has secured global recognition after building a customer-focused alternative to traditional taxi services.
Blyth-based Go2 Travel Group Ltd has been named a 2026 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award winner, placing the business among the top ten per cent of travel and hospitality providers worldwide.
The award follows a year of five-star customer reviews as the company expanded across Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle.
Founded as an alternative to standard taxi and private hire operators, Go2 Travel has focused on pre-booked airport, port and rail transfers, operating exclusively through advance reservations.
Bosses says its approach removes the uncertainty often associated with on-demand transport services while offering fixed A-to-B pricing with no nighttime surcharges.
That pricing structure has helped the business build a strong customer base across the region, particularly among passengers seeking reliable long-distance transfers.
Brandon Lee, director of Go2 Travel Group Ltd, said: “Building a business from the ground up in the North East isn't easy.
“We looked at what locals hated about booking travel, late cars, unpredictable meters, and nighttime surcharges, and we built Go2 Travel Group Ltd to be the exact opposite.
“To receive a global Tripadvisor award and hit the top ten per cent worldwide in under two years proves that our community values transparent, reliable service.
“Beating out established fleets ten times our size is a staggering milestone for our small team.”
Go2 Travel’s recognition comes as the business continues expanding its footprint across the North East transport market.
The Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards are based on customer feedback and reviews collected over a 12-month period, recognising consistently highly rated businesses across the global travel sector.
Brandon added: “Absolutely none of this would be possible without our people.
“Our professional drivers and office team are the true heartbeat of this company, embodying the reliability our customers depend on.
“We are also deeply grateful to our local community, whose passionate word-of-mouth recommendations have been the lifeblood of our growth.”
