SocialChain appoints head of influencer
Integrated social media agency SocialChain, headquartered in Manchester and with offices in London and New York, has appointed Sophie Berman as head of influencer as it continues to expand its creator marketing capabilities.
Sophie joins from Havas Play UK, where she led talent and influencer activity, bringing more than a decade of experience across agency and in-house roles in the UK, Europe and the US.
In her new role, she will lead SocialChain’s CreatorChain division, overseeing influencer strategy, talent partnerships and campaign delivery for clients including YouTube, Primark and LinkedIn.
Sophie said: “I’m thrilled to be joining at a time when there is such clear ambition to enhance the agency’s influencer offering and build something truly best-in-class through CreatorChain.
“There’s a huge opportunity to deepen how brands collaborate with creators, not just as media channels, but as long-term partners across content, commerce and culture, and I’m excited to help shape that next chapter.”
Sophie’s appointment follows the agency’s acquisition and integration of creator marketing business the Fifth in 2025 as SocialChain continues to grow its end-to-end influencer offering.
Jacinta Faul, chief executive at SocialChain, added: “I’m beyond excited to have Sophie join us.
“She brings a powerful combination of strategic thinking, creative instinct and commercial acumen, alongside deep experience delivering impactful work for some of the world’s most recognisable brands.
“Her ability to connect talent, culture and brand storytelling makes her the ideal person to lead the continued evolution of our CreatorChain offering.
“I couldn’t be more excited to see the impact she’ll have as we scale our influencer capabilities across the business.”
