Workprove 'futureproofs growth' with new office
A tech-based skills management firm says it has “futureproofed further expansion” after completing an office move.
Workprove has switched to a new base at Doxford International Business Park.
Officials say the Sunderland base provides the company with “space to grow into” over coming years.
The move follows a rebrand from Moralbox to Workprove, which the firm says leaves staff numbers primed to rise from 11 to 16 by the end of the year and revenues to top £10 million by 2030.
It also comes after a six-figure funding drive led by Northstar Ventures’ Venture Sunderland Fund, alongside £150,000 from Creative UK’s North East Fund and £50,000 from angel investors.
Founded in 2013 by chief executive Gordon MacPherson and chief technology officer John Dunnill, the firm is known for a live training matrix that helps employers track and manage expiring certifications and missing competencies in real time.
It works with companies across sectors including construction, manufacturing, food and drink production, transport, social care and education.
Emma Antunes, head of marketing, said: “We’ve rebranded, had a major recruitment drive, developed a new website and are working hard to spread the word about our amazing products.
“Our Doxford Park offices are to futureproof further expansion.”
Gordon added: “Our new offices have everything we need.
“Our roots are in Sunderland, as are most of our team, so we were always looking at Wearside for a new home.”
