Healthcare firm launches leadership programme

A Sheffield healthcare company is strengthening its management training strategy with the launch of a new leadership development programme.

B. Braun UK has launched Beyond Performance, a new leadership programme designed to help managers improve team performance and accountability across the business.

The initiative follows the company’s earlier Beyond Boundaries programme, which focused on inclusive leadership and reached more than 200 managers.

According to the business, 92 per cent of participants from the earlier scheme reported making more inclusive decisions in the workplace, while 94 per cent said they felt more confident applying the skills they had learned.

Developed in partnership with behavioural change specialist Elev-8, the new programme combines workshops, one-to-one coaching and performance management tools tailored to the demands of the healthcare sector.

Kate Young, TransCare service manager at B. Braun UK, said: “Beyond Boundaries changed how I lead, building trust and creating space for others to thrive.

“Beyond Performance will take that foundation further, enabling leaders to lead with purpose and give teams the clarity and confidence to deliver meaningful impact.”

The launch also forms part of B. Braun UK’s wider effort to strengthen how it tracks and measures people data, with increased focus on representation and accountability across the organisation.

Craig Cannings, managing director at B. Braun UK, which is part of the global B. Braun group and operates across areas including orthopaedic surgery, surgical instrumentation and hygiene technology, added: “The quality of our leadership has a direct bearing on the experience of every patient and partner we support.

“Beyond Performance gives our people what they need to lead with clarity and confidence, and that matters more than ever as the healthcare landscape continues to change.

“The programme is designed to empower our people to lead with clarity, courage and compassion, creating a culture where everyone feels they matter and where every team has the conditions to thrive and deliver exceptional outcomes.”
