Azets strengthens Kent tax team with partner hire
Accountancy firm Azets has appointed Nicola MacAulay as private client tax partner as demand for specialist tax advice continues to grow across Kent.
Nicola joins from S&W, formerly Evelyn Partners, where she served as private client director, following an earlier career with Creaseys in Tunbridge Wells.
Based at Azets’ Maidstone office, she will support clients across the county on personal taxation matters including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
Nicola, who became a member of the Institute of Leadership last year, said: “I am gratified to have been appointed by such a forward-looking and proactive firm as Azets.
“It’s an exciting new challenge for me and I was inspired by the firm’s culture and how the business operates.
“I am trusted by clients – primarily individuals who have generated their wealth through entrepreneurship, private equity or land sales – to provide them with sound practical advice tailored to their personal circumstances, taking into account the tax implications.”
She added: “I take time to understand the way my clients operate and their approach to life so I can anticipate their individual needs – to ensure advice is appropriate as well as being technically correct.
“I enable my clients to get on with their everyday lives in the knowledge that their affairs and reporting requirements are taken care of professionally, and I help guide them through the often difficult decisions that need to be made in life.”
Azets operates five offices across Kent, including Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, Sandwich and Sidcup.
Eddi Taylor, Azets’ regional managing partner in the South East, added: “Nicola is an exceptional operator whose knowledge in the private client tax space is second to none.
“She has a proven track record of building trusted relationships and delivering clear, practical advice to the individuals she supports.
“We are delighted to welcome Nicola to the team and are excited about the expertise and energy she brings to our growing Kent practice.”
