Casa appoints first mortgage adviser in England

Property services group Casa Group has appointed Grant Williamson as its first mortgage adviser in England following the launch of a new financial services division.

County Durham-based Casa Group said the appointment forms part of its wider nationwide expansion strategy, with plans to grow the mortgage team further in the coming months.

Grant joins with previous experience at Barclays and Howden and will support clients across residential and commercial lending, equity release and private client finance.

He said: “I’m very excited about working with the talent and knowledge base already here while having the flexibility to put my own stamp on the business.

“I know the Casa Group is going to bring the best out in me. 

“The whole team is extremely professional and there are big plans for the future. 

“To join a company at the start of what is planned to be a massive phase of growth is an absolute dream for me.”

Grant’s appointment follows Casa Group’s acquisition of Scottish property and mortgage brokerage Cox & Co last year as the business continues to expand across the UK.

Managing director for Scotland John Cox, will be spearheading the growth of the financial services arm as principal broker.

He added: “Our ambition is to become fastest growing property services group in the UK, offering a true turn key service.

“We have been working hard on integrating Cox & Co into the wider group. 

“As a board, we have taken a considered and structured approach to ensure everything is implemented correctly. 

“Our priority has been to fully prepare the financial arm for rollout, ensuring we have the necessary capacity in place.

“Grant Williamson joins as our first mortgage advisor. 

“He is greatly experienced and fits in the group perfectly with his personality and aspirations for personal growth.”
