Stellanor appoints managing director
Urban data centre platform Stellanor Datacenters, headquartered in London, has appointed Gary Watson as managing director as the business enters its next phase of growth.
Gary brings more than 30 years’ experience across the data centre and IT infrastructure sectors, having previously held senior roles with Keppel DC REIT, SunGard Availability Services, Hosting365 and Telecity.
He will oversee operational delivery, customer engagement and commercial performance as Stellanor continues to expand its urban data centre footprint across the UK and Ireland.
Gary said: “This is an exciting point in Stellanor’s journey.
“We have a strong portfolio, a clear strategy, and an exceptional team.
“Our focus now is on integration, ensuring the highest standards across the platform and continuing to deliver operational excellence for our customers.
“At the same time, we are investing in the platform and building the next phase of growth.”
Gary’s appointment follows Stellanor’s acquisition of 11 data centres since launching last year, with the business now focused on scaling AI-ready and enterprise-grade digital infrastructure services.
Michael Tobin CBE, chairman of the board at Stellanor, added: “With Gary now leading our team, we have the experience and leadership in place to execute at pace while maintaining continuing to provide the operational standards our customers rely on.
“We’ve scaled from two to eleven facilities in nine months, backed by the infrastructure funds managed by DWS Group, and we are firmly positioned to support growing demand for enterprise colocation and AI-ready infrastructure.”
