Age is just a number for talent spotter 21 Degrees Digital
A Yorkshire-based digital marketing agency continues to invest in the future after recruiting the latest in a long line of tech-first rising stars.
Talent spotter 21 Degrees Digital is committed to nurturing the next generation of business leaders as the Leeds firm fosters its approach to development and learning.
And Seth Leech joins a growing team at a time when co-founders Rory Mason and Zac Evans have set their sights on hiring potential with a proven track record.
“I was looking for a place where I can see clear career progression and continue to develop my skills,” explains Seth, who joins as a PPC Account Manager. “21 Degrees Digital struck me as the perfect environment for that.
“I was attracted to the idea of joining their journey as a growing agency and making a direct, visible impact on that growth.
“I don’t really see myself being just another number at a massive corporation but I love the idea of helping 21 Degrees Digital compete with the big players.
“I also wanted to be surrounded by people who embrace AI and new technology in an industry which is constantly disrupted and changing.
“Looking at the team around me I’m convinced 21 Degrees Digital is best positioned to gain the most from the AI shift. Things are moving so fast that most companies miss out but we can help them stay ahead of the curve.”
Seth cut his teeth as a Digital Marketing Apprentice before landing a senior role helping to steer campaigns for more than 30 clients across a range of sectors.
Focusing on paid media management, web development and account strategy, the Huddersfield-based account manager has hit the ground running.
“People like Seth deserve the opportunity to climb the career ladder at a pace that reflects their talent and potential,” says Rory Mason, CEO of 21 Degrees Digital.
“We pride ourselves on pointing our team in the right direction, supporting their journey and regularly reviewing their progress.
“Seth’s a lad with loads of ambition, lots to offer and a real passion for his work.
“We have a dedicated training budget that will help him grow further, faster and this feels like the start of an exciting chapter in his career.”
21 Degrees Digital has swiftly earned a reputation for its sector-leading approach to employee development and welfare.
More than 10 staff socials per year, guaranteed training and professional development, a bonus scheme and wellbeing partnership are just some of the perks that have helped to redefine what an agency looks like in 2026.
And Seth adds: “I’m in the right place to make a real and tangible impact at a time in my life when I want to show what I can really do.
“I’m only 22 but I’ve done a lot in a short space of time. I understand how important it is to develop longstanding and trusted client relationships and deliver on time.
“I often point to my work in the e-commerce retail sector with a suit company called Skopes. I was part of a team that increased their online sales from £1.5m in 2023 to £2.5m in 2025.
“We achieved this by reorganising where we allocated budget — pushing non-brand campaigns to capture new market share and growing the brand through multichannel advertising.
“I also enjoyed my time working with SHC Robertshaw's — a Stihl dealership — where I managed a strategy that tripled their in-store sales.
“We used Meta campaigns to drive online sales and footfall and paired it with highly targeted Google PMax and search campaigns.”
21 Degrees Digital continues to scale following a year of rapid growth — with ambitious expansion plans in place for the remainder of 2026.
Seth’s hire follows hot on the heels of the agency’s announcement that it had surpassed £1m turnover in 2025 and is targeting 40 per cent growth this year.
Demand for the ambitious firm’s joined-up approach to brand and performance marketing is driving a fresh wave of development.
And Rory adds: “We’re driving a new era of digital marketing and to do that we need the best people with the best ideas.
“Bringing talent like Seth on board underpins our commitment to taking a chance on the leaders of the future. He’s only 22 but we’re prepared to take a risk given the obvious potential for reward.”
