Repairs firm bolsters order book with three contracts
A heating and renewables installation and repairs firm is toasting a trio of multi-million-pound contract successes.
0800 Repair has secured work with Northumberland County Council, Gateshead Council and social housing provider Home Group.
Officials say the agreements “strengthen its position in the marketplace across the North East”.
The Houghton-le-Spring-based firm is set to work alongside Northumberland County Council on a £4.8 million project to upgrade about 300 properties across towns including Blyth, Alnwick and Amble.
The two-year contract – which could be extended by a further two years – will cover the installation of apparatus including air source heat pumps, solar panels, energy‑efficient windows and doors, smart heating controls and wall, flat roof and underfloor insulation.
The company – part of PHS Home Solutions – has additionally been awarded a 12‑month contract by Gateshead Council.
The deal, which could be extended by a further two years, will see 0800 Repair carry out boiler installation works across the local authority’s housing stock.
And the firm is also set to deliver gas, solid fuel and low and zero‑carbon technology works in void and occupied properties across the North East for Home Group.
The business will support Home Group teams across a two-year period on boiler and full heating installation works, repairs, annual servicing, remedial work and the renewal of mains‑powered and battery‑operated fire and CO₂ detectors.
Michael Pallister, 0800 Repair operations director, said: “Our experienced in‑house team is looking forward to working with our local authority and social housing partners to deliver these energy‑efficient improvements.
“In addition to delivering the improvements these works will achieve, we are committed to delivering social value measures in the communities where we work.”
