Reward backs AW Group’s expansion plans
A Bedfordshire property and investment business is accelerating its diversification plans following a new funding deal designed to support future acquisitions and growth.
Reward Funding has provided Luton-based AW Group with a £795,000 revolving facility aimed at helping the family-owned business expand beyond its core office operations.
Founded in 1994, AW Group is led by managing director Sam Allen, grandson of the company’s founder.
Its flagship AW House building is currently operating at full capacity, with more than 40 prospective tenants on its waiting list.
Sam says the new funding facility has been structured to give the business flexibility to move quickly on acquisition opportunities while maintaining control over cashflow.
AW Group has already begun broadening its portfolio through investments in health and fitness business InnPulse EMS Studio and premium hairdressing brand Beyond.
Sam said: “Reward understood exactly what we are trying to achieve.
“As a family business, we’re incredibly proud of what we have built over the last 30 years, but we’re now focused on the future.
“This facility gives us the flexibility to grow in a way that works for us, moving quickly when opportunities present themselves, while also reinvesting back into the business.”
John Gallagher, business development director for Reward Funding, added: “AW Group is a business with real momentum.
“Strong foundations, but more importantly, a clear ambition to grow and diversify.
“What stood out was their ability to spot opportunity and act on it quickly.
“Our role is to match that pace with funding that enables it.”
The deal was arranged by Jo Malyon, managing director of Blue Badger Financial Ltd, part of Synergy Commercial Finance.
Jo added: “I’ve had a very long and successful relationship with the team at Reward, and one of the reasons for that success is the joint passion for helping clients.
“The link between broker and lender is incredibly important and presents a lot of opportunities to make a real difference to businesses and individuals with an appetite to grow.
“This deal for AW Group is the perfect example of all parties coming together and enabling future expansion.”
