Tax practice takeover equals growth for firm
An accountancy and professional services firm has expanded with a takeover.
DJH has bought tax practice Forbes Dawson.
The Stoke-on-Trent-headquartered operator says the move will “deliver tax at a level that rivals the ‘Big Four’ firms and strengthen its offer across the entire group”.
Under the terms of the deal, all senior partners remain with Altrincham-based Forbes Dawson to lead its 20-strong team.
The company has also retained its brand.
Scott Heath, DJH chief executive, said: “Forbes Dawson is not a general practice; it is a dedicated tax practice built entirely around delivering expert advice to businesses, entrepreneurs, private clients and professional advisers.
“The team brings deep specialism in tax across corporate and business, private client, employee incentive arrangements, VAT, property, SDLT, transactional tax work and tax investigations.”
Laura Hutchinson, Forbes Dawson joint managing partner, added: “We have been very happy as an independent tax practice, setting our own high standards in client care and positioning ourselves as true tax specialists.
“However, we wanted to invest in operational support – HR, marketing, business development and technology – and this deal gives us just that.”
