AW Hainsworth strengthens international sales team
Leeds-based textile manufacturer AW Hainsworth has appointed Tom Anderton and Lauren Hill as international sales managers as the business continues its global growth strategy.
Bringing more than 40 years of combined experience across textiles, manufacturing and business development, the pair will support expansion across the company’s aviation, apparel and interiors divisions.
Tom joins from Bostonair and will focus on growing accounts within AW Hainsworth’s specialist aviation brand, Replin by Hainsworth, while Lauren joins from The Fine Bedding Company to drive sales growth across the apparel and interiors sectors in both UK and international markets.
Tom said: “Joining AW Hainsworth is an exciting new stage in my career, and I look forward to growing the brand in conjunction with this fantastic team and in line with the business’ values of quality, sustainability and family.”
Lauren added: “My background in premium fabrics, interiors and international market expansion, matched with a BA Honours degree in fashion, make this role a dream opportunity for me to return to my fashion and textiles roots and I’m so proud to be a part of this truly iconic British brand.”
With a history spanning more than 240 years, AW Hainsworth continues to manufacture specialist textiles from its Yorkshire mill, supplying sectors including aviation, protective fabrics, interiors and apparel.
Phil Atherton, commercial director at AW Hainsworth, added: “We are delighted to welcome Tom and Lauren to the AW Hainsworth team.
“Backed by a wealth of experience and existing strategic partnerships, Tom and Lauren are perfectly placed to work with us in developing new business opportunities and identifying routes to market that support our long-term, global growth.
“Our historic Leeds mill has been at the forefront of British textile innovation since 1783, and it is our mission to bring the quality, consistency and value of our homegrown British brand to markets beyond the UK.
“It’s great to have Tom and Lauren with us on this journey as we support the continued development of the AW Hainsworth brand globally.”
