Salamander Pumps appoints technical training manager
Sunderland-headquartered water pump and booster system manufacturer Salamander Pumps has appointed Richard Bambridge as technical training manager as the company continues to expand its installer and merchant support offering.
Richard brings more than 38 years’ experience across plumbing and heating roles, including running his own business for two decades and spending the last 13 years teaching apprentices and students in further education.
In his new role, he will deliver technical training sessions for installers and merchants, helping improve understanding of Salamander Pumps’ water boosting products and ensuring the correct solutions are specified for projects.
Richard said: “Salamander Pumps has built a strong reputation in the marketplace for delivering high-quality products and expert advice to address water flow and pressure issues.
“I look forward to delivering practical, high-impact training for installer and merchants to help improve product understanding, raise installation standards and enable the right solution to be found first time.”
Richard’s appointment comes as Salamander Pumps continues to broaden its product portfolio with innovations including TapBoost, TankBoost and AquaScan, the UK’s first handheld digital water multimeter.
Claire Thompson, marketing director at Salamander Pumps, added: “As a company, we are committed to educating and developing our installer and merchant community when it comes to the challenges faced around water pressure and flow.
“Richard’s appointment is evidence of this commitment in action. He brings with him not only a wealth of technical knowledge, but also hands-on practical experience which prove hugely valuable to installers.
“I welcome Richard to Salamander Pumps and look forward to working closely with him in further raising awareness of our water boosting solutions, increasing confidence in choosing and installing the right product for the job.”
