Explore Learning appoints first chief customer officer
Explore Learning, the UK’s largest independent tuition provider, has appointed Alexandra Cambier as its first chief customer officer as the business continues its next phase of growth.
Alexandra joins the senior leadership team and board with almost 20 years’ experience across global growth marketing and customer strategy roles, having previously worked at HSBC, Gousto and AI health-tech company Heidi Health.
Her appointment comes as demand for personalised learning support continues to grow across the UK education sector, with Explore Learning investing further in digital learning and customer experience.
Alexandra will focus on accelerating growth while strengthening customer engagement and long-term value for both students and parents.
She said: “Explore Learning is at an exciting point in its growth.
“The business already has a strong foundation and clear sense of purpose, and the opportunity now is to build on that as technology continues to reshape education.
“I've spent my career helping fast-growing businesses scale without losing sight of the customer, and in education, that matters more than anywhere.”
Alexandra’s appointment follows a number of recent milestones for Explore Learning, including the arrival of chief executive Lisa Haycox in 2025 and the launch of Compass 2.0, its latest adaptive learning platform built using more than half a billion learning interactions.
Lisa Haycox, chief executive of Explore Learning, added: “Since stepping into the role of chief executive, my focus has been on driving the business into its next phase of growth by ensuring we continue to meet the evolving, complex needs of the children and families we support.
“Alexandra’s appointment marks another important step in that journey.
“As demand for personalised learning continues to grow, her leadership will help us strengthen our reach, deepen engagement with families and continue building a category-leading education business.”
