Robson Laidler earns workplace accolade
A North East accountancy firm has secured national recognition for its workplace culture after continuing to invest in employee wellbeing and career development.
Robson Laidler Accountants has been named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 list for the third consecutive year.
The firm, which employs 125 people across Newcastle, Durham and Teesside, achieved an employee engagement score of 80 per cent alongside an 81 per cent job satisfaction rating.
Compiled in partnership with employee experience platform WorkL, the annual list celebrates organisations leading the way in workplace culture, employee engagement and wellbeing.
Robson Laidler has introduced a range of initiatives aimed at supporting staff development and wellbeing, including a 15-month Director Development Programme designed to help managers progress into senior leadership roles.
The firm has also continued operating its four-day working week, first introduced in 2023, with more than 80 per cent of employees reportedly experiencing reduced stress levels.
Additional wellbeing and inclusion initiatives include health workshops, walking clubs, neurodiversity training, British Sign Language sessions and a dedicated multi-faith room.
The recognition follows the firm’s recent B Corp recertification, reflecting its continued focus on social and environmental standards alongside employee experience.
Amy Park, co-managing director at Robson Laidler, said: “Happier workforces drive better commercial performance.
“Being recognised by The Sunday Times for a third consecutive year reflects the culture we’ve worked hard to build at Robson Laidler – one where people feel supported, valued and empowered to develop their careers.
“We’re proud to continue investing in initiatives that help our team thrive both professionally and personally.”
