New warehouse gives furniture firm room to grow
An online furniture retailer says it is bedding down for future success with a warehouse expansion.
Bedkingdom has moved into a 55,756sq ft base.
Bosses say the Wakefield site will increase stock capacity, improve distribution efficiency and support faster customer deliveries.
Founded as a mattress retailer in 2011, the Heckmondwike-based business’ portfolio now includes bedroom, living room, dining, office and garden furniture.
Levon Hall, chief operating officer at the 49-staff business, said: “We’ve seen strong growth as we’ve expanded beyond beds into a wider furniture offering.
“This new facility gives us the space and infrastructure we need to continue that momentum and better serve customers.
“We’re focused on building a more comprehensive furniture destination, while maintaining the value and service our customers have come to expect.”
