Vehicle firm charges up jobs with electric venture
A commercial vehicle firm has created more than 20 jobs in an electric transport expansion.
CPD Bodies has bolted the Farizon marque to its portfolio.
Bosses say the move has added engineering, production, technical support, sales and aftersales roles to the Stockton-on-Tees-headquartered company.
They add a Farizon showroom will open at CPD Bodies’ North East base later this summer.
Cathal Doocey, CPD Bodies chair and owner, said: “This is a major moment for our business.
“We’ve invested heavily over the last year, not just in facilities and infrastructure, but in people, skills and long-term capability.
“Businesses are looking for practical electric solutions that work operationally and commercially, and we want to be at the forefront of delivering them.
“We’re proud to be creating jobs, investing in the region and bringing something genuinely new to the North East commercial vehicle market.”
Farizon is the commercial vehicle business of Geely.
