Spin appoints group commercial director
Award-winning social media agency Spin, headquartered in London, has appointed George David as group commercial director as it continues to expand its client portfolio and international presence.
George joins from Wilderness, where he served as head of growth, and previously held the role of European business development manager at global advertising agency Anomaly.
In his new position, he will lead Spin’s commercial strategy, focusing on revenue growth, new business development and strengthening client relationships across the agency’s portfolio, which includes Spin, YouTube specialist Be A Bear and production company Tiny Studios.
Reporting to co-founder Max Whicher, George will help shape the commercial direction of the group as it continues its global expansion.
He said: “Spin has built something genuinely special - a team that creates social content people actually want to engage with, and a culture that attracts brilliant creative talent.
“I’m thrilled to be joining at this stage and can't wait to get to work helping more brands discover what Spin can do for them.”
George’s appointment follows a series of recent client wins for the agency, including Fortnum & Mason, Five Guys and National Rail, alongside the retention of major brands such as Paramount, Channel 5 and Instax.
Spin was named Social Media Agency of the Year at the Europe Agency Awards and recently launched operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
Max added: “George is exactly the kind of commercial talent we've been looking for - someone who doesn't just understand how to win business, but genuinely gets what brands need from social in 2026.
“His energy, his experience, and his instincts are a perfect fit for where Spin is headed.
“We’re delighted to have him on board.”
