Running retailer steps up portfolio with YETI deal
An online running apparel retailer has sprinted to a new commercial deal.
SportsShoes.com has secured a UK partnership with outdoor product firm YETI.
Bosses say the agreement will see goods including coolers, drinkware and bags stocked by the retailer.
Russ Hinkles, head of buying at SportsShoes.com, which operates from a base in Shipley on the outskirts of Bradford, said: “To bring YETI to our community of runners and outdoor athletes is a real moment.
“We are committed to offering customers the very best brands; teaming up with YETI is a testament to the strength of the community we have built.”
The partnership builds on the firm’s announcement of a 5000sq ft-plus London store.
Based in Shoreditch High Street, the company says the site features an activity floor capable of hosting professional athlete experiences, podcasts and brand events, and technology used to monitor runners’ gaits to tailor footwear choices.
It also previously announced record turnover, with income rising four per cent to £93.3 million in the year to February 28.
