Insurance broker expands with triple acquisition
An insurance broking and risk management firm has expanded with a trio of takeovers.
JMG Group has added Jaggi & Co, Canfield Payne Insurance Consultants and Safetynet Scotland to operations.
Bosses say the moves add “established businesses with long-standing client relationships, experienced teams and personal service” to Guiseley-headquartered JMG Group.
Family-run insurance broker Jaggi & Co is led by Akhil Chaudhry, with its Isleworth-based team supporting commercial and personal insurance clients across sectors including property, construction and manufacturing.
Canfield Payne Insurance Consultants, based in East Grinstead, West Sussex, provides commercial and personal insurance services, with Aberdeen-based Safetynet Scotland acting as a health and safety consultancy.
Nick Houghton, JMG Group chief executive, said: “These businesses share a commitment to looking after clients properly and building relationships that last.
“They have experienced teams, respected reputations and leadership that care about their people and customers.”
Akhil said: “We’ve built real momentum over the years, and this move gives us the support to continue growing while staying true to who we are.”
St John Canfield Payne, managing director of Canfield Payne Insurance Consultants, said: “Joining JMG gives us access to wider insurer relationships, additional expertise and the backing of a larger independent group.”
Craig Cooper, Safetynet Scotland managing director, added: “Joining the group lets us continue delivering the service our clients value, while giving them access to additional expertise.”
The triple swoop comes just days after JMG Group wrapped up deals for Jukes Insurance Brokers, RP Lovatt and Nene Valley Insurance Practice, which it says have boosted its presence across the Midlands and South East.
