Blu Sky promotes managing director
Accountancy firm Blu Sky Accounting has promoted Chrissie Krappe to managing director as the firm pursues its next phase of national growth.
Chrissie, who has been with the company for four years, previously served as client relationships director and will now oversee operations, team performance and client delivery across Blu Sky’s UK-wide client base.
Her promotion marks a significant milestone for the business, becoming the first managing director in the firm’s 18-year history to lead day-to-day operations independently of founder Jon Dudgeon.
Based in Oxfordshire, Chrissie will lead the company through a fully remote leadership model.
She said: “Accountancy is now inherently cloud-based, so leadership doesn’t need to be tied to a single location.
“What matters is communication, relationships and being available to both our team and our clients.
“Operating this way has made us more deliberate in how we communicate internally and more responsive externally.
“Many of our clients are founders and scaling businesses, and they value having a team that integrates seamlessly with how they work.”
The move forms part of Blu Sky’s long-term growth strategy, allowing founder Jon Dudgeon to focus on merger and acquisition opportunities.
With offices in Newcastle, London and Manchester, the B Corp-certified firm continues to expand its support for technology, digital and investment-backed businesses across the UK.
Jon added: “Chrissie’s promotion was a natural progression and reflects the role she was already playing in the business.
“Having a managing director operating remotely enables us to structure the business differently.
“It strengthens our operational leadership while giving me the capacity to focus on scaling the business.
“That’s an important part of our long-term growth plans, alongside continuing to build our client base nationally.”
