Bibby Financial Services expands Midlands team
Invoice finance provider Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has appointed Gemma Heath as business development manager as it continues to grow support for SMEs across the West Midlands.
Gemma brings more than 16 years of commercial finance experience, joining from Lloyds Banking Group where she most recently served as associate director for trading and working capital intermediaries.
During her career, she has worked closely with brokers and introducers to support businesses across the Midlands and East Midlands.
A specialist in invoice finance, Gemma holds the ABFA Foundation qualification and has built a strong network of industry relationships throughout her career.
Gemma said: “With the West Midlands Futures Fund seeking to supercharge projects across Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull and Wolverhampton, there’s an incredible opportunity for the region’s SMEs to grow and thrive.
Many of these businesses need greater access to working capital and cashflow support to enable them to seize opportunities, so I’m looking forward to leveraging existing and developing new intermediary partnerships to make this happen.
“With our strong family heritage, financing legacy stretching back almost five decades, and a reputation for supporting businesses through the economic cycle, BFS is well-placed to help SMEs overcome challenges and take advantage of opportunities today.”
Gemma’s appointment forms part of Bibby Financial Services’ continued investment in its business development team as it expands its regional presence.
David Webb, UK head of broker and introducer at BFS, added: “BFS is in growth mode and with more than £1 billion of funding capacity, we have a fantastic opportunity to support SMEs and the intermediary community in 2026 and beyond.
“Attracting someone of Gemma’s calibre is testament to our sales strategy and ambition in the West Midlands and further afield.”
