NWBLT appoints United Utilities representative
Business membership organisation North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) has appointed Mike Gauterin as its new United Utilities representative.
Mike joins the organisation with more than 20 years of experience across the infrastructure and telecommunications sectors.
His background spans customer service, commercial management, supply chain operations, governance and compliance, and he currently leads cyber and physical security governance and compliance at United Utilities.
Prior to joining the utility company in 2023, Mike held a number of senior leadership roles at BT Group, including managing director of customer service for its enterprise division and leadership positions within Openreach.
He said: “I’m delighted to be joining NWBLT as United Utilities’ representative.
“As an organisation serving millions of customers and communities across the North West, United Utilities understands the importance of collaboration, resilience and long-term investment in the region.
“I’m looking forward to contributing to NWBLT’s work and working alongside colleagues to secure a successful future for our region.”
Mike’s appointment brings additional expertise in resilience, security and critical infrastructure to NWBLT.
The move comes as organisations across the North West place increasing focus on operational resilience and safeguarding essential services that support communities and businesses throughout the region.
Chris Woodroofe, chair of NWBLT, added: “We are pleased to welcome Mike to NWBLT.
“His experience spans critical infrastructure, customer operations and cyber and physical security, which will add real value to our discussions at a time when resilience is becoming ever more important for organisations across the region.
“His insights bring an important contribution to NWBLT as we continue to bring business leaders together to deliver the opportunities and manage the challenges facing the North West.”
